Initial Nutrition Consult
90 minutes
In your first visit you can expect to address the following:

Getting to know your family!

Growth evaluation
-
Assessment of nutrient intake and deficiencies

Formula/feeding recommendations and/or Tube-feeding regimens
-
Instruction on specialized diets
-
Nutrition goals and nutrition plan
-
Communication with interdisciplinary team

A big part of the first visit is getting to know you & your child. After a thorough assessment you will receive a individualized nutrition plan with goals based on the information gathered and nutrient needs. At the end of each consult a follow-up appointment will be scheduled to assess the progress on the plan established during your first visit. I will communicate with the interdisciplinary team (physician, therapists, etc.) prior to and post appointment so that together we can reach your child's nutrition goals.
Follow-Up Appointment
Up to 55 Minutes
In your follow-up you can expect to address the following:

- Review of growth
- Review of intake
- Adjustments in feeding plan and supplements
- Monitor progress towards goals
- Communication with interdisciplinary team
After working with your family in the initial visit to create a plan, the follow-up appointment will track growth and continue to provide support to meet nutrition goals. Adjustments will be made based on patient/parent input and the interdisciplinary team (physician, therapists, etc.), together to reaching your child's nutrition goals.
