About Heather

Mission Statement

Our practice mission is to empower families and children to cultivate a lifelong, healthy relationship with food and their bodies.

We recognize the unique challenges and diversity within every family and child we serve. Through evidence-based practices and personalized care, we collaborate with pediatric patients, aged birth to 26, along with their families and healthcare providers, to promote optimal health and growth.

Our commitment extends beyond mere guidance; we strive to provide education and facilitate access to nutrient-rich foods, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive

Education & Career:

I have a rather unique background for a dietitian as my education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.

I loved my time working in engineering but as life often does, my interests evolved. I found myself drawn to nutrition, preventive medicine, and nutrition therapy. So, I decided to embark on a new educational adventure. In 2016, I went back to school and earned my Master's degree in Nutrition from Marywood University in 2019.

To really hone my skills, I completed my dietetic internship at Geisinger Medical Center, focusing on pediatric clinical nutrition at the Janet Weis Children's Hospital. Along the way, I've also dabbled in teaching and research at the academic graduate level.

While my journey may seem a bit unconventional for a dietitian, every step has been driven by my passion for helping others lead healthier lives. I'm here to blend my engineering mindset with my nutrition expertise to provide you with top-notch care.

Let's navigate this journey to better health together!
